I see the boards have been busy while I've been goofing off over the weekend, and that there are some VERY interesting topics being broached.
This one about Kozyrev and Brown is just one of them. I know it has been addressed elsewhere and maybe this is not the best place to answser the obvious questions, but I'll put my reponses here from now and as I peruse the boards and find the other references to this topic, I'll drop in the link to this post.

There are two answers to that question. There's the 'intuitive' answer, and there's the factual answer.
The intuitive answer would be "Yes, Go To the Head of the Class." But all I have in my notes and files are oblique references to the subject. I don't have any notes that say specifically, "Morgan met Kozyrev...." at any specific time and place. Not like I have good notes on, say, his meeting with Ilya Tolstoy.
So, until such time as I get more reliable data on that subject, the "intuitive" answer is going to have to hold the place of the factual one.
Does that sound reasonable?
And here is a REALLY scarey question. If Charles was a "security agent", was Twigsnapper the same sort of "security agent"? and by just putting two and two together, isn't that the job description that Morgan was offered?
I'm not sure why you're saying that's "scary," but, broadly speaking, I think the answer to that one is a qualified "yes." Qualified in the sense that they all had different specific roles, but similar qualifications and sometimes similar missions.
What if Linda had been allowed to "learn things" above and beyond a certain level? Would she then have been awarded another one of these "armed escorts"?
What makes you so sure she doesn't travel with one now?
Jeez, I'm getting as bad as Morgan -- answering questions with questions!
And what would that have meant? What did it actually mean for Dr. Brown? Twigsnapper has already said that if there had been a "security break" that he was there to shoot Dr. Brown!
Yeah, sorta the "Wind Talkers" scenario...
"SHE NEEDS NOT TO KNOW" because if she ever does she will have to live the life that I am living? God ! Thats awful!
Yes, and we have also talked about the "lifetime committment" aspect of the path Dr. Brown and Morgan chose. Whenver I think of that I think of Al Pacino, that scene in Godfather III where he's trying to get out of the Mob, "but they keep puling me back." I think you would be correct in surmising that Dr. Brown wanted his daughter to have more options than that with her own life.
Morgan couldn't possibly be assigned as "security" for the woman he loved, knowing what the standing order of the job was.
I think that is a VERY astute observation, Victoria. Chills the bones to contemplate, doesn't it?
I can't confirm or deny that supposition -- not that I don't want to, only that I don't have reliable data to draw a conclusion on. But I can certainly see, as you do, how that might have been a factor in the dynamics that evolved between Morgan and Linda, Dr. Brown and "The Caroline Group."
Let me now see what other mischief I can get into from the weekend's posts.
