Re: PROJECT:PEGASUS
Mr, Moody,
"WHEN are we meeting in Philadelphia people?"
Now thats a grand question. I would be interested in hearing what people have to say on that one.
"I may be old, but I like to think that I still have a few good moves left in me.

In the spirit of the forum and Paul's book, I thought this Jimy Buffet would be appropriate for the topic of "Defying Gravity".kevin.b wrote:Mr Twigsnapper,

Re: PROJECT:PEGASUS - Mark Moody Pictures
Here are the pictures Mark wanted me to post.
I believe this is the model he will use:
One big lifter and his new power supply:
And a floating world:
I hope Mark tells us more about this.

Re: PROJECT:PEGASUS
Mark,
I was thinking about the last photo of the Levitron AG Magnetic Levitating World Globe.
I remember the original Levitron and it was a top you had to balance and then spin.
But does the globe work the same way?

Re: PROJECT:PEGASUS
And here is the patent for the levitating globe.
It is different than the original Levitrons.
http://v3.espacenet.com/textdoc?DB=EPOD ... 170798&F=0
So I suspect you will do that to your UFO. Now you may have to play with the magnet and washer in the UFO to balance it. A strong neo magnet should help you here for even if the model weighs more than the globe, you still might get it to lift with one (or more) neo magnets.

Re: PROJECT:PEGASUS
Thanks MagicBill for posting the photos.
The first photo is a plastic Lazar area-51 disk that I intend to use with my power supply.
I WILL NOT be using any type of magnets, only high voltage current.
The photo of the big lifter is a lifter that Tim Ventura of American Antigravity built.
The photo was posted because of the power supply on the table, my power supply looks just like that one.
We purchased our power supplies from the same company.
The last photo of the levitating globe is just for thought.
It shows a hollow globe with a permanent magnet inside floating above an electromagnetic base.
The base contains both, permanent magnets and an electromagnet to provide stability.
This item was invented by an overseas scientist.
You can see a video of it in action on YouTube, just search for Levitron AG.
I found it interesting because it shows that stable levitation is possible WITHOUT spin or motion of the levitating object.
True, the electromagnetic field is constantly moving, but not the device.
I have ordered this globe from Amazon for $60 and it should arrive next week.
Some say that anything with a permanent magnet attached will levitate above this electromagnetic base.
Indeed, the inventor even has a tennis shoe levitating on one of his posted videos!
The lazar disk I am using will not have the cabin compartment attached for aerodynamic reasons.
I believe that a TRUE saucer shaped device will better make use of generated ions if the body of the disk is streamlined.

You may already know about the site http://arxiv.org but if not then from what I have seen it has a lot of very good science papers. If you try a search on word combinations like "electric propulsion" electrokinetic propulsion" etc, I have found some very interesting papers there and they certainly point to electric flight being a possibility/reality.
cheers

Re: PROJECT:PEGASUS
Sorry I've been away and silent for so long.
When it rains it surely does pour!
Currently I am still unemployed, (3 1/2 months now), had to file bankruptcy and I am in foreclosure.
So...... I will be discontinuing my project permanently and will be selling my power supply.
I still hope to meet all of you one day, maybe in Philadelphia?
My finances are really taking a beating right now and any little bit helps.
I appreciate all the conversations and the warm welcome everyone has shown me.
Hopefully one day I will be able to pick up the pieces again.
I will be monitoring this site until the end of this month.
Then I shall be concentrating full time on other matters of the heart.
I trust everyone inderstands?
Linda, I shall forever RSVP a DANCE for you!

Re: PROJECT:PEGASUS
Mark,
Your current situation just breaks my heart.
Please keep in touch with all of us somehow..... When they say that the " country is in serious trouble" it never really strikes home so much as when a friend has to face what you are facing now. I guess we are all going to have to slide into what you could simply call " survival mode"
Will any of these new programs coming up help out at all?
Linda

Re: PROJECT:PEGASUS
Mark, may you soon get the lift you need to get over this hump and on to better times. Don't wander too far in the meantime.

Linda & Rose,
Thanks for the words, I really appreciate it.
At one point there was mortgage hope, but now the feds switched gears, so it is a matter of wait and see.
I more than likely will not have time on my side, so I am preparing to move.
I'll do what I can to stay in touch though.

Mark,
Wherever your path ends up taking you, there is no need to totally disappear from the forum. Most all libraries have free internet access. Remember, you have your very own forum thread, Project Pegasus, you will need to occasionally check in.

Re: PROJECT:PEGASUS
Mark, this is really none of my business but you did mention that you filed bankruptcy. That should have given you a stay on any pending or future foreclosure actions (while in bankruptcy) for real estate or property. Of course I am assuming you filed Chapter 13 and not immediately rolled into Chapter 7. Your circumstance of being unemployed for 3 1/2 months has created this situation for you and bankruptcy court is a solution. Rolling into Chapter 7 may very well enable you to keep your home. Your lawyer should be able to advise you of this.MARK MOODY wrote:Linda & Rose,
