misdirected?
I can sort of see why Chapters 47 and 48 haven't gotten any individual attention. When Paul switched to his " Part Two" they didn't have their own discussion sites. In fact when I post this I don't even know where it is going to end up .... so here goes, just to see. Yup, Part Two .... wit...

taking your lead grady
Taking your lead Grady I have looked at the number of " visits" on the forum and find one, no two .... .... Chapters 47 and 48 that have such low numbers they practically scream out " Whats wrong with us, nobody ever comes to visit, nobody loves us!" Well, maybe a little dramatic...

considerations
This Forum is in fact a wonderful "living breathing thing" like somebody said with contributions that I hope Paul is paying attention to. In case you missed it Paul ( I understand how easy that can be) I think that Radomir has just shown us an interesting slant. Had you ever considered thi...

miscellaneous service from the pier
In the context of what you have written here that phrase becomes one of the most interesting leads ever. "Miscellaneous service from the pier" Just what the heck then was being carried on board? Not popsicles for the crew, I'll wager. But the Cutlass is being specially outfitted, thats obv...

getting back
Getting back
Just a comment on that peacock in the cage that Paul mentioned.
Mr. Deacker also bought a beautiful race plane and then let it sit untended in a field ( not too far from you Mikado?). So you can see that his character remained at least consistent. Martin

strange indeed
I guess while we are all waiting for the next chapter from Paul this Fossett mystery is fairly absorbing. I am somewhat familiar with the area Mr. Fossett flew out of and if he is using one of the planes on loan from Mr. Hiltons ranch you can be sure that the mechanics were top notch. I understand t...

so, is it already proven?
HShort, Your statements seem to reflect the thought that Townsend Browns " developments" (Other than the ionic breeze and other insignificant demonstrations "aka toy carnival ride") may still have to stand the test of " proof" to make the telling of his story worthwhile...

always one situation
Oh, I can see a movie in this. A Naval Intelligence officer, working undercover as a Janitor ... having an affair with an Admiral ... planting bugs for the Russians. Just how long did he last once found out. Probably about a second and a half. And you know theres a good Navy stunt for you. Bring in ...

Your Grandfather?
You are right SLicK G , it is indeed a very small world. I am fascinated that you got to know the Brown family so well and yet there is a connection also with Mr. Franklin. You are right! What grand stories he could probably tell! And the greatest thing would be that as adventurous as those stories ...

matters not
I read about that Wake Island meeting in some historical accounts.. after reading Mr. Twigsnappers post. There was a Big Hoopla about the President going to see MacArthur at the time. MacArthur, I guess, did not want to come all of the way from ( he was in Formosa? )at the time. Long flight to Hawai...

now theres history
Regarding Dean Franklin. Like you said, anybody who got his feet wet during a landing (intentionally) knows that name. Now THERE Paul is a person who could probably tell some really wild true stories about the goings on in and around Nassau and Miami, and all those wonderful islands. ( And that even...

bring this to the top
I thought that I might volunteer to bring this particular thread to the top of our conciousness now! Dr. Brown is headed for Hawaii I guess. I have heard a little bit of that story from a friend who happen to know Dr. Brown and Josephine. From the sound of it he really went Robinson Crusoe on everyb...

interesting, frustrating
Its been interesting reading. But so far all I have seen is one person (YOU, JUSTICE) believing that he knows all these special facts which he has somehow gotten out of the air, that others could not possibly understand without his condescending explanations. Distainful opinions mixed liberally with...

fire on Catalina
Strange to see flames looming over Dr. Browns favorite spot. I wondered if any of the extended Brown family are still living there? How are they doing, if so? Anybody know? Martin
