Re: Nate, I need a word.
Whoops sorry I was late reading all my notifications! Yes Alcubierre Drive is the word you're looking for. Or perhaps I think "Alcubierre Metric" probably the better term because it's still just General Relativity. Ever since GR came out (ie since Townsend Brown was 10) I think it was unde...

Re: Great Interview on the Mysterious Universe!
I have the typical aversion to watching or listening to myself, but I managed to watch this whole thing a couple of nights ago and had a near out-of-body experience. I mean, it didn't feel like I was watching myself, and there were several moments when I thought "well, that guy sure has some i...

Re: Still thrashing about in the Hawthorne Weeds
How'd you wind up there?? Don't answer, that's a rhetorical question. Or it has a one word answer: "Internet" Yep! I love it when the Google algorithms actually produce something useful. It's been getting worse over the last couple years - and great personal sites like that one can vanish...

Re: Sidebar: The Musical Rabbit-Hole
I remember your novel. It was interesting and very well done. When I tried to go back to it, to share with someone, your site came up with a big security risk warning on it. Thank you for the kind words! That would have been on https://natecull.org/wordpress/ Very probably my site was still running...

Sidebar: The Musical Rabbit-Hole
This, probably, isn't anything (directly) to do with Townsend Brown, but it's an interesting set of very personal data that falls into the realm of what the kids these days on Reddit call "Experiencer" stuff (with big E). See, people who have actual UFO encounters often have a bunch of ESP...

Re: The Cosmic Token forum is back online!
Hi Rose! Instead, we got quantum gravity and loop quantum gravity. Were those even in the hopper in 2001? Very much so, yes. Quantum gravity has been in the hopper since quantum mechanics was invented in the 1920s, but it was probably the crop of mathematical physicists coming out of the 1957 Chapel...

Re: The Cosmic Token forum is back online!
Nate, you should have been an archivist or at least a research librarian...a man after my own heart who quotes, clips, cites for all history to record. Bravo! Thank you for your kind words! Calling me a librarian is a great compliment, although I'm not one as a day job. For me I think it's a self-d...

Re: The Cosmic Token forum is back online!
Jess Fritch, a TTB acolyte of long standing. Ah! So I'm confusing a Jess with a Jesse! Two different people. Yes, I think it was Jess "Ecker" Fritch I interacted with - or someone claiming to be him, because I'm never sure on the Internet - not Jesse Michels (who I don't think I've encoun...

Re: The Cosmic Token forum is back online!
Nate, what I remember about that forum is that someone was deleting huge swaths of messages. It wasn't I, Linda said it wasn't she and I believe her. There was no rhyme or reason that I could see, as to what was deleted and we never knew who was responsible, but that's why I stopped posting there. ...

Re: Betcha can't eat just one!
I have this same problem. It is very hard to eat, I mean research, just one American WW2 defense scientist/engineer/industrialist with off-mainstream beliefs about physics - there are so many! I think you had to be at least 51% actual certified mad scientist to get in the door of the radar / Navy ra...

The Cosmic Token forum is back online!
http://www.cosmic-token.com/forum/index.php now resolves and can be browsed. So we can access historical conversations between around 2010-2020.
I don't know when the Token came back, but I see that a poster on the Reddit forum two months ago mentioned it.

Re: Mary Vaughan King, Nicholas de Rochefort, and Counsel Services
Jeez Nate, that's a LOT to drill into. Yep I'm sorry it's a bit of a mess; I couldn't work out how to summarise any more succinctly. The main takeaway though to me is that NICAP was very obviously full of heavy "establishment" players. Lots of Navy, CIA, State Department type people. And ...

Mary Vaughan King, Nicholas de Rochefort, and Counsel Services
Jack Brewer, a somewhat-skeptical UFO investigator with an emphasis on the military and intelligence connections to UFO organizations, has a blog. (And a 2021 book: "Wayward Sons: NICAP and the IC" (https://www.amazon.com/Wayward-Sons-NICAP-Jack-Brewer/dp/B09CRQHPV2 )). His posts on the fo...

Louis Witten's oral history is online, Nate. He gives a thought provoking account of his visit to "Bahnson's" lab. Aha! Right, so that Witten quote does come from the oral history. Excerpt: Witten: But then, that’s when George Trimble came. George Trimble was the vice president of the Mar...

Re: Nate's Wonderful Timeline Annotated for 1905-1927
Wow, thank you for adding these annotations! The timeline is just a little thing that I threw together in about one day sitting in a library skimming though Paul's first draft around 2009. So really it's Paul's (and Linda's) research that is the labour of love. At the time I had the hope that a Wiki...
