Re: Townsend was hyping Sidereal Radiation in 1948

Well, duh. What else was Townsend promoting with his compariion of humans to bees in the hive responding to unseen stimulae, but what we came to know as biorhythms. We were told, in the seventies that these were invented by Swedish airline pilots, but they seem to be a direct outgrowth of a study of...

Re: The Ionic Cat is Out of the Bag

I'll be delighted if they make their 2024 deadline, but i think the rendering is misleading.

It makes the drone appear capable of lifing large objects and transporting humans, which seems too much to ask for just yet.

The Ionic Cat is Out of the Bag

I posted links in some thread or another, to a video of the flight of an experimental, no moving parts, ion drive plane. The source was MIT, and their source? Pages from Townsend Brown's 1927 notebook. And now we have the Silent Venus, a next generation "last mile" drone expected to be pro...

Were Wilhelm Reich and Townsend Brown on the same trail?

Why does the Gone Dark author devote so much time to Einstein and Reich and his Orgone theory, when the TLDR of this is that Einstein forgot to get back to him. Nothing but drama came from Reich's overture. While that encounter was not happening, the Navy was pursuing an objective of its own chasing...

Re: Meet the Young Gunn

Does this photo remind you of someone else? young Ross Gunn.png Ross with his homemade wireless in 1911, at the age of 14. What a contrast with full studio set up that 19 year old Townsend had at his fingertips. Sure, technology advances, but... https://www.ttbrown.com/thomas-townsend-brown-who-was-...

Gone DarK; 50 Years after Albert Einstein.

I have done Gone Dark a disservice in the past. It is information dense and I failed to give it a close and contemplative reading. But, now that I have, I can't stop obsessing over it. The original recipients of the mysterious interview, purportedly an accounting of the "real" PX story, we...

Re: Townsend was hyping Sidereal Radiation in 1948

I can see, now, that it is the pointer finger. But something about it still looks out of place. THit's a prosthesis or doctored photo. But I do want to note that Mr. Butterfield's "Improved Holography" would have been cutting edge when it made it out to the commercial world. On a tangentia...

Re: The TTB Foundation foundation announcement Jan, 1938

The next year, Eisenhower would pen his famous letter to Roosevelt encourage him to pursue research in nuclear chain reactions and warning him that German physicists weren't sleeping on the idea.
Arg. That's should be Einstein, not Eisenhower.

Re: Is This What Townsend Brown Knew All Along

“Brown’s scientific credibility crumbled when, obsessed with UFOs and their means of propulsion, he founded the National Investigations Committee on Aerial Phenomena to hunt for little green men ” This is one of the Big Myths that have shaped the public's impression of Townsend. The first and bigge...

The NRL's first hundred years (1923-2023)

The NRL Centennial on July 2 was memorialized in a a fresh iteration of their history. https://www.nrl.navy.mil/About-Us/History/NRL-Centennial/ Once "college-dropout" Townsend maneuvered his way into a position at this, the first national science lab of its kind in the world, everything h...

The Physics Detective on Townsend Brown, Lifters and All Things Antigravity

This is a worthy read. https://physicsdetective.com/lifters/ For example the Wikipedia Anti-gravity article says “Anti-gravity is often used to refer to devices that look as if they reverse gravity even though they operate through other means, such as lifters, which fly in the air by moving air with...

Miscellaneous Townsendiana

Paul has collected some of the most memorable young Townsend stories, but the Zanesville papers always found some good copy material in his doings. Among the reports of his activities: The family's Hawethorne farm included plans for stables for thoroughbred horses as young Townsend was reported to b...

Re: Willoughby and his Piezoelectric Papa

Willoughby and Townsend would have been peers in age and in childhood experiences, both sons of superlative engineers. Each of them served in the Navy during WW II, with Willoughby's last post being as the head of the Naval Ordinance Lab at China Lake. I have no doubt that the two men also shared a ...
