Linda,
That one reference to your father having a P.E. license is the only one I am aware of in the public sector.

Re: NOTEPAD for RANDOM IDEAS
Not to derail the current conversation, but...I had a good chuckle this morning. I saw this AP release a couple of minutes ago reagrding the Large Hadron Collider. Apparently the emergency shutdown on September 19 was caused by "a single, badly soldered electrical connection." The next est...

Re: Somebody say " Bismuth" ?
Linda, I'm up, I'm up ! No need to shake my tree :) Here are a few off the cuff characteristics that make bismuth an interesting material: 1) Highest diamagnetism of all metals. A good definition from Wikipedia: Diamagnetism is the property of an object which causes it to create a magnetic field in ...

Re: NOTEPAD for RANDOM IDEAS
Htmagic, Yes, it is in the library section ( http://www.qualight.com/petro/index.htm ). Actually, only four of the photos came from us - the two of TTB in his white suit, and then the two color photos of TTB at his desk (I think these were from Catalina). Two of his laboratory journals are sitting o...

Re: Optical Multimedia and the Townsend Brown Family
Mark, I don't think Joseph Brown or his family was ever involved in anything associated with his father's work (I forget which chapter discusses that relationship). To answer your question, though, Optical Multimedia (a web design company) was the the precursor of Qualight, and the name under which ...

Re: Wooden saucer
Well, the Ke ~ 2-6 for wood, but if there were a high voltage arc (short) then the integrity of the molecular structure would be compromised, possibly forming permanent conducting paths.
Perhaps it was a support structure for a conductive material overlay ?

Re: LHC and Black Holes
Following up on our discussion of the supercollider that may or may not ever get up and running... This is an interesting discussion on whether there even exists such thing as a bona fide black hole. Whether one can exist based on our understanding of physics, mathematics, gravity, and matter...

Re: Rock sensors
Arc, Petrovoltaics are definitely not my baliwick, so I can only repeat what are in the notes. That said, I don't think any facets or faces were cut into the rocks. Exhaustive tests were performed to eliminate electrostatic, temperature, humidity, electromagnetic, etc. effects, so yes, a Faraday cag...

Re: Podkletnov/Brown Connection
You can use nickel or silver-based electrode paint that is available from electronics stores. I ocassionally see it at Fry's as well. The silver is more conductive, and both seem surprisingly expensive for the amount you get, although they go pretty far. Yes, the original sensors the Brown's have ar...

Re: E/G Communications and Quantum Physics
FM, Please refer to your previous post: Electrogravitic spectrum? What spectrum? Are you insinuating that there are as many different wavelengths of gravity as there are in electromagnetism? To the best of my knowledge, I have never heard anyone ever speak of gravity as a spectrum... The references ...

Re: E/G Communications and Quantum Physics
Always happy to help as I can, but please understand that I'm on the forums less frequently than Mikado, FM, Trickfox, Mark, Rose, Gregvizza, Natecull, Htmagic and many of the others, who are very intelligent and have a lot to offer in their respective fields of expertise - some of them are the top ...

Re: E/G Communications and Quantum Physics
Townsend theorized that gravity was not an effect observed on the surface of space/time, such as light (excuse the analogous description there), but more of a nuts and bolts part of the space/time. He theorized that gravity is instantaneous throughout the universe(s), and that each particle in the u...

Re: E/G Communications and Quantum Physics
From this viewpoint, it seems to me all that is really going on is a bunch of egos trying to outdo each other with veiled suggestions of knowing more than they are saying and one-upmanship. After reading through this thread, it really has degraded into an endless argument over semantics. Are there a...

Re: NOTEPAD for RANDOM IDEAS
Amalie,
I suspect the PCBs are in the paints and / or adhesives, but I don't know the site at all.
Burning it off would probably cause partial oxideation and lead to more problems. If it is in the paint or adhesives, it will probably have to be scraped off and disposed.
